Nestled along the banks of Dubai Creek is
the lovely waterfront community known as Dubai Creek Harbour. This vibrant
neighborhood features a wide range of mixed-use projects with stunning
waterfront views, luxurious resorts, a prominent marina and yacht club, as well
as an abundance of shopping and entertainment venues. Leading the charge is the
prestigious Emaar Properties, whose innovative project has changed a great deal
since its start. With a name change to "Lagoons" and an introduction
by Sama Developments in 2006, the project was canceled in 2009 as a result of
an economic downturn. With an expected investment of USD 18 billion and
spanning a vast area of 70 million square feet, Emaar resurrected the project
in 2013.
The Dubai Twin Towers are two impressive
high-rise buildings that were launched as part of this redesigned layout. Six
residential towers known as the Dubai Creek Residences were also built. But in
2016, the Twin Towers were replaced by an incredible, one-of-a-kind structure.
The stunning Dubai Creek Tower, designed by the visionary neo-futuristic
architect Santiago Calatrava, is the focal point of Dubai Creek Harbour and is
expected to rise even higher than the famous Burj Khalifa.
